What We Believe

Mission Statement

  • As believers who profess to know Christ, we desire to love the Lord Jesus Christ with all our heart, soul and mind. To give Him the glory in all that we say and do. To live a life that shows He is the true life and His word has everything pertaining to life and godliness.

Our Core Beliefs

  • We believe that there is one God, one in essence, one God in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19)
  • We believe the Bible to be God-breathed (inspired), inerrant (in the original documents), and the infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 1:20-21)
  • We believe that God is holy and men, created in his image, are sinners as a result of Adam’s original sin. (Romans 3:236:235:12, 5:15)
  • We believe the means by which man can be saved from sin and restored to a right relationship with God is only through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Gospel. (Acts 4:12, John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
  • We believe that we are saved by grace through faith alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:8-10)
  • We believe that repentance and faith go hand in hand. They are two sides of the same coin. Repentance means that you admit and agree with God that you are a sinner. Faith is more than a mental exercise of belief. Your heart and mind believe in God. Even demons believe in God, so there needs be a repentant heart that is willing to love God in obedience. (James 2:19, Psalm 51, 1 John 2:3, John 14:15, Luke 13:3)
  • We believe that man and woman were created male and female in the image of God. (Genesis 1:27 & Matthew 19:4)
  • We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. (Genesis 2:23-24)
  • We believe that those who profess a faith in Jesus Christ should obey His commands as an act of love toward Him. To be confessing sin and be repentant. (John 14:15, 1 John 1:9)
  • We believe that all who believe are commissioned to share the good news. (Matthew 28:18-20)
  • We believe that we are to glorify God in everything. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
  • We believe in Baptism by immersion and the ordinance of communion as a remembrance of Jesus work on the cross. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 8:36-39, 1 Corinthians 11:28-32)
